Fees & Funding

Fees for our speech pathology services are:

Comprehensive Speech and / or Language Assessment $200 per hour of assessment
Individual Therapy $140 per hour ($70 per half-hour)
Written Report $100 per report
Home / School / Kindy visit $200 per hour

Extra funding can help cover the costs for private speech therapy.  Here are some options:

Medicare

Some children with complex or chronic needs qualify for allied health rebates under Medicare.  If you hold a Medicare Card, please speak to your GP about whether your child is eligible for the Enhanced Primary Care programme.

“Helping Children With Autism” (HCWA) funding

If your child is under the age of 6 and has a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder, you are eligible to apply to FAHCSIA to receive funding for therapy and resources until your child turns 7.  For more information, or to apply for this funding, go to: www.fahcsia.gov.au

“Better Start” funding

Children who have a diagnosis of cerebral palsy, Fragile X syndrome, Down syndrome, significant hearing or vision impairment, and some other conditions may receive FAHCSIA funding for therapy and resources until the child turns 7.  For more information, or to apply for this funding, go to: www.fahcsia.gov.au

Private Insurance

Some private health insurance schemes cover allied health services.  Please speak directly to your private insurance company to see if you are eligible for speech therapy rebates.
